About Africa by Horse

Africa by Horse is Sweden’s first and only travel agency dedicated entirely to horseback safaris in Africa. After spending many months on the continent ourselves, we’ve become experts in one thing – finding safaris run by experienced outfitters we trust, where the horses are well cared for and the experiences combine wild nature with close encounters with Africa’s incredible wildlife.

The idea for the agency was born from a question that kept coming back: why are there so few Swedes – or Scandinavians – here? Sweden is a huge equestrian nation, and a horseback safari is just about the coolest riding adventure you can do. That thought became the start of Africa by Horse. Through personal experience, we want to be the trusted link between Nordic riders and the most magical riding adventures in the world.

Today we offer horseback safaris for every level – for those who think “horses are huge and kind of scary!”, and for those who think “the faster, the better!” and want to race zebras across the savannah. Our safaris range from truly affordable (but still absolutely incredible – I know, it sounds too good to be true, but it’s not) to luxurious lodges for those who prefer to experience Africa the comfortable kinda way.
